Students from Francis Howell High and Francis Howell North will be vying for the gold medal in the second annual Iron Chef Challenge sponsored by Sodexho.
Five Family and Consumer Science students from each high school will be selected to plan, prepare, and serve a three-course menu consisting of a salad, vegetable, and entrée, for thirty people using only ingredients provided to them. Contestants will have two hours to create their meal and will be judged on taste, nutrition, and presentation.

Team of Concern (TOC) is a substance abuse prevention program available at all Francis Howell middle schools, funded through the Community and Children’s Resource Board. It is the school/community-based component of Preferred Family Healthcare, the largest provider of substance abuse services in the state of Missouri. The goals of TOC are to raise awareness of substance abuse issues in the area, to work with students who are at risk of turning to drugs or alcohol in the future, and to intervene with students who may be experimenting already. TOC offers prevention awareness education to students, and educates parents and faculty on identifying at-risk behaviors and drug trends.
