Accelerated Reader
Accelerated Reader is a computer-based reading management program that is used to complement literacy programs and motivate students to read using individualized goals.
Students read a labeled "AR" book and then take a quiz to check comprehension. A printed report gives immediate feedback to the student and teacher to help guide the student to appropriate reading materials.
A list of Castlio's AR books is available in the Castlio Library and at several branches of the St. Charles City-County Library District.
Accelerated Reader tests cannot be taken online or at any location other than Castlio Elementary School.
