Missouri Nominees

Each year Becky-David’s students are given the opportunity to participate in one of Missouri’s Reading Programs.

 

Students in the 4^th and 5^th grades may participate in the Mark Twain Contest.  They may vote for their favorite book from the list of Mark Twain Nominees.  They need to read or had read to them four of the titles on the list.  Click on the Mark Twain link below for an annotated list of books.  Each time a student reads 4 of the 12 nominees they may select a sound for our circulation computer to play when students or teachers check out books.  Stuents have until the beginning of March to read 4 books in order to vote in the State Program.  

 

Students in 1^st through 3^rd grades may participate in the Show Me Contest.  They may vote for their favorite book if they read or had read to them six of the ten nominees.  Click on the Show Me nominees for an annotated list.  Most classes will be have these books read to them during school hours.

 

All of the books are available in the library and each title has an AR quiz.
