Any student who is in need of credit recovery should sign-up to meet with his or her counselor to discuss the options available. FHN is able to accept recovery credit from the following:
FHN's Credit Assistance Program (CAP)-Students can sign up for one or both sessions offered in the Spring 2012. Each session allows students to earn 0.5 credit in a subject. Students who take American Government will need to speak with their counselor about taking the MO & US Constitution exams at FHN. The informational brochure & registration form is posted below. Cost: $75/class Fall 2012 class dates will be distributed in the Fall 2012.
Ferguson-Florissant school District Night School-Located in Florissant, Missouri. Students can sign up for classes that meet one night per week. Only students who have completed 2 years of high school may enroll for a maximum of 2 classes per semester. Students must see their counselor for the registration form (which requires a counselor & principal signature). Cost: $85/class or $95/class if late registration.
ACE Night Classes-Located in St. Charles, Missouri. Students can sign up for classes that meet one night per week for 10 weeks. Students can sign up for multiple sessions. Students who take American Government will need to speak with their counselor about taking the MO & US Constitution exams at FHN. Students must see their counselor for the registration form (which requires a counselor & principal signature). Cost: $100/class
BYU Correspondence Courses-Students can earn credit via correspondence. Only 0.5 credit courses will be accepted (no 0.25 credit courses). Students must see their counselor prior to registering for a specific course to make sure it will be accepted at FHN. Some courses (PE, Project Self Discovery, etc.) will not be accepted. Students must see counselor prior to ordering their final exams, so they can be told which counselor will be proctoring their exam/set up a date & time for the exam.
