The FHN Athletic Booster Club is run by a team of parent volunteers.  We are always looking for help to work in the concession stand or help out at special events.  Please consider joining the Booster Club by filling out the membership form.  All membership money goes directly to FHN Athletics!

Executive Board Members needed for 2010-2011 !

     We are currently seeking FHN ABC Executive Board members for the 2010-2011 school year. Some of our existing board members are retiring and others are interested in changing positions, so there are multiple openings.  All positions are open, not only vacancies. There is a formal nomination and voting process that will take place in April and May for all positions, so if you are interested in any of the positions please let us know. 

     In addition to the brief description of the responsibilities and duties listed below, the executive board meets once a month to give reports, process requests and discuss any other issues or concerns that need to be addresed.

NOTE: If there are any concerns about any of the responsibilities and duties of the positions you are intersted in, let us know and we will help out in any way we can.  We work as TEAM and have been very successful in the past in making sure everything gets done

Athletic Booster Club Executive Board

 

The following is a list of the Executive Board positions for the FHN ABC and a brief description of their primary responsibilities.

 

President

·        Main contact and representative for coordinating events with the Activities Director.

·        Schedule and chair monthly Executive Board meetings as well as quarterly General meetings.

·        Coordinate all activities for annual Black and Gold Day

·        Coordinate all activities for producing yearly FHN ABC newsletter

·        Provide updates to FHN newsletters

·        Coordinate efforts for FHN ABC scholarships

·        Open and Close for concession stands

·        Provide FHN ABC overview at all Meet The Coaches meetings

Vice President

·        Assist President and other exec board members with their responsibilities whenever needed

·        Open and Close for concession stands

Secretary

·        Record and publish minutes from all meetings

·        Open and Close for concession stands

Membership/Publicity Chairperson

·        Coordinate all new membership activities (forms, drink cards, price list, etc)

·        Setup for Meet The Coaches, Black and Gold and all home varsity Football games

·        Order and stock all merchandise

·        Open and Close for concession stands

General Fund Treasurer

·        Manage the overall General FHN ABC account

·        Produce and publish monthly reports

·        Retrieve profits and make sure adequate change is available in both concession stands at least once a week

·        Make all necessary payments and handle all bank transactions

·        Open and Close for concession stands

 

Individual Sports Fund Treasurer

·        Manage the funds for all of the individual sports supported by the FHN ABC

·        Produce and publish monthly reports

·        Work with all coaches and sports reps to provide funds or collect monies to be deposited

·        Make all necessary payments and handle all bank transactions

·        Open and Close for concession stands

Concession Manager

·        Manage the indoor and outdoor concession stands

·        Keep concession stands stocked with necessary items

·        Make sure equipment is in working order and make service calls when necessary

·        Produce schedules for fall, winter and spring identifying all scheduled events that will be using the concession stands, and make sure an exec board member is available to open and close all events

·        Schedule major cleaning of concession stand twice a year

·        Open and Close for concession stands whenever possible

Volunteer Coordinator

·        Work with coaches to identify who their sports reps are

·        Contact all sports reps to make sure they provide a list of workers for the concession stand for their events.  List should include, date, name and phone numbers for workers

·        Open and Close for concession stands

 

NOTE:  

It is the responsibility of the Concession Stand Manager to coordinate the opening and closing of the concession stands for all events.  However, it is not their sole responsibility for actually opening and closing, all exec board members should assist with this effort.
