During Reading Workshop
(Independent Reading and Small Group Reading),
we will be focusing on the following objectives:
- develop vocabulary through context clues, root words, and suffixes
- preview/predict with evidence
- question the text, question to clarify, draw conclusions

using text features to gain information (illustrations, captions, title/chapter headings, table of contents, charts, diagrams, glossary)

Use details from non-fiction text to answer questions, explain main idea/details, & compare/contrast texts

Use details from fiction text to compare/contrast
