Sample Note Cards

Sample Works Cited Card

Number of card.  1

Williams, Roger S. The Wild Side of Conservation. New York: Atlantis Publishing, Inc., 1996. Print. (this example is for a book with one author)

(Follow correct format for citations when you make your works cited cards. If you do, when it comes tome to type your works cited page, all you will have to do is put your cards in alphabetical order and type).

  • Each works cited card is numbered.  Each note card that corresponds to this source is numbered 1a, 1b, 1c, etc. This system helps you keep track of notes and helps you when you cite your sources in the body of your paper.
